Bethesda & Pysanky Eggs

We celebrated the ministries of Bethesda last Sunday. It was a wonderful event! As last year there were several fund raising items to support Bethesda’s ministries but one this year got a great deal of attention.

Shannon Veeder, one of our members, hand paints Psysanky Eggs. This is an artform that dates back in the Ukraine. She is extremely gifted at this and has been approached by museums. Each egg can take up to eight hours to paint – and she sold a lot of them! Not only that, but she has a five year old and 1 year old. How she did this I’ll never know, but I’m sure glad she did.

Shannon received no money from this. It all went to Bethesda. That’s a servant’s heart.

Thank you, Shannon and all those who helped with Bethesda Sunday!
