Trip to Duck, NC

Ok, ok; so it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything.

We got to Duck fine (after driving around for over 45 minutes because we were on a different road than we thought!).

Oh, but I said I’d share about the excitement right when we left. — Well, I don’t even remember why we had to stop (.2 mile from home!), but I backed into a spot on the grass on the side of the road. What I didn’t know was that the telephone pole I saw and missed had a cable I didn’t see and which got caught up under some of the plastic molding on Jen’s car. When I pulled forward, it ripped some of it off. GREAT was to start a trip! AUGH!!

Oh well, so it goes, right?

Anyway, we all had a great time in NC. — We were a bit frustrated that we paid more for a home that had a pool that turned out to be completely unusable the whole time we were there (don’t ask and ‘yes’ we did get some money back for it). There were other pool facilities though and lots more to do. Besides that it only rained our last day, so all-in-all a very good time.

We went to Kill Devil Hills at the Museum of First Flight (did you know the first flight was in Kill Devil Hill, NC and not in Kitty Hawk? Neither did I.) and learned lots.

Here are a few pictures.
