Even though we treasure and value freedom, everyone needs some boundaries and guidelines. That’s true of ministries, too. This helps us to be focused, aligned, and effective.
A general June update on what’s happening in the MOST Ministry at SML.
Confirmation is wonderful! But this year, it was also very difficult. Ben is the same age as those being confirmed. This joyous, yet jabbing day is common for parents who have a child with a (dis)ABILITY, like Ben. Even so, we thank God for the wonderful confirmatnds and their families! We also thank Pastor Andy for a heart that reached out to us and touched ours. God is good!
On Saturday, April 11, 2015, over 30 people from St. Mark, who want to make a difference in our community, came together for the initial kickoff of the outreach ministry as a part of the “Mission, Outreach, and Service Team” [i.e. “M.O.S.T.”] Ministry!

Scripture is full of amazing examples of faith and obedience. It is also full of amazing examples of faithlessness and disobedience. Often, these are even found in the same person!
When we mess up, we are in good company and, like those we emulate, there is always hope for us, too; and that Hope is Jesus!
“Lord, open the doors that need to be opened and close the doors that need to be closed.” I have been praying that prayer for a while now in regard to what the Lord would have me do.
He has opened the door. Now it’s time to walk through it!
